Tommaso Maestrelli: between exellence in study and in football.

Tommaso Maestrelli, student in Economy and Commerce, this summer landed in Mister Rambaudi’s court.
previously was a protagonist with the shirt of Italian University National in two occasions, one of them was in South Corea in 2015 when he won. He experienced also Lega Pro with Racing Roma. Today he tells us something about him:

Last year you played in C series. Why you choose to play with LUISS in Promotion?

“During these years, other than play football, I’ve never stop to study. Mine parents luckily have taught me how fight important is for reach our dream, but at the same time everyone have to study. These two values, sport and study, not always can be unite: this is what is common in Italy. But is not right, you have only to think about the American system where athletes have the conditions to be excellent in both categories.
It’s the first time that in Italy we are close to something like that thanks to LUISS that believe in these values, I’m enthusiastic to be a part of this project”

How staff and your teammate welcomed you?

“Since the first training I’ve found an ambience that fells me as to be a part of a big family. Everyone fight for the same objective”

What Dual Career means to you?

“Like I’ve have already said sport and study are fundamental to me. I am glad that, for the first time, I can totally express myself”

Which are your future perspective?

“I don’t like to think about my future, I just give my best for everything that I do. I hope to help my team and at the same time to reach some good academic results. I take this occasion to thank all people that work for this important LUISS project”.
