Afrogiro 3 – AS Luiss 0

The match that we were waiting for so long, at the end of a very important week, which sees us satisfied in the middle. After Thursday’s victory against the Lupi di Marte, on Saturday we played for the first place with the leader Afrogiro, a team that should be congratulated for its performance on the field and that deservedly is today at the top of the standings, but that leaves us with a bitter taste in our mouths for an arbitration far from up to the level, given the importance of the game.

At the end of the game we asked Captain Luca Tritto for his opinion on what happened during the game and on the current condition of the white Italian team: “Surely the result is distorted by the referee, who denied us two fundamental points with absurd errors when we had reopened the game in the third set.
It’s absurd that for such games we don’t designate a higher category match director, able to manage the key moments.
Having said that, congratulations must be paid to the opponents for the victory. The beauty of sport lies also in knowing how to accept defeats, regardless of the referees.
We can get a great lesson from which to start again: technically we are on a par with our direct opponents for the victory of the championship, so if we want to get first, we must give something more not only on the technical level in the gym and in the game but also from the mental point of view.
We don’t have to be afraid, we have to be the masters of the game from the first point and we don’t have to suffer moments of darkness.
The awareness of our strength must be the key to face everyone and get to the end, to victory.
