Basketball B League, goodbye time for Marcon and Faragalli: thanks, guys!

  • 25 July 2019

Francesco Faragalli and Leonardo Marcon have been on the floor for five seasons with the B league Basketball team. But even the best stories have an end and, for both, it’s time to say goodbye.

As of next year, both Francesco and Leonardo will no longer wear the colours of AS Luiss. In September they will earn a master’s degree in Management, thus concluding the academic path taken in parallel with their basketball career.

A chapter that has seen them play a leading role in excellent seasons has therefore come to an end. The two have honored the jersey and always reached the playoffs for promotion to A2. For four years, Faragalli was also the captain of the team, dragged with determination and passion.

Francesco, coming from Roseto Sharks, next year will be at Valsesia Basket. Leonardo, on the other hand, former of the Reyer Venezia (current Italian champion), has not yet settled elsewhere.

The two wanted to remember the joys of representing the University. For Faragalli “the best moment was by far the return to the locker room after the victory in the playoff series with Recanati. That result was due to a group of players who were friends before they were teammates. Together we were able to overcome the technical limits and achieve a feat”.

For Marcon the sweetest memory is “the victory in Race 3 against Cassino at home, with the public who supported us by cheering and singing: emotions that I will always carry in my heart”.

All that’s left is to thank Francesco and Leonardo, and wish them the best of luck!
