Cycling, good performance of our athletes on the Gran Sasso

  • 23 September 2019

A challenging weekend for our cycling team. The athletes were divided between training on the Gran Sasso and a downhill race.

Elena Serangeli and Nunzio Muratore, assisted by the perfect climate, tried a climb of over 30 km. On the highest mountain in the Apennines, the athletes completed a lap of 110 km with a difference in height of 2100 meters. An excellent training in view of the next official road competition, scheduled for September 29 in Tivoli.
The brave Lorenzo Toccaceli took part, instead, in the fourth stage of the circuit “Gravity Challenge”. The race took place in Pescasseroli, in the Apennine undergrowth of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
Despite the ground made dry by the heat of the previous weeks, our athlete arrived at the finish line in ninth position. A great result, as it was his first downhill race.
Good guys, keep it up!
