Luiss Sport Program

The Luiss Sport Program (LSP) is the official sports program of Luiss University and is aimed at:

• High school student-athletes intending to enroll at Luiss University;
• Student-athletes enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate (1st or 2nd level master’s), or PhD programs at Luiss;
• International student-athletes (Erasmus, Double Degree, or Partner Programs);
• LBS students;
• Luiss Alumni.

Goals of the Luiss Sport Program

The LSP is designed to:

• Provide each student-athlete the opportunity to pursue a high-level academic education, supported by sports scholarships, while continuing their athletic career;
• Guarantee each student-athlete a university tutor who will assist with study planning and communication with professors;
• Support student-athletes in successfully completing their academic journey.

Reference Categories

1. Luiss Top Athletes (LTA)
   This category includes national and/or international level athletes, registered with national or foreign sports federations, and who have been selected for their respective national teams. These athletes may continue competing at a high level either with Luiss SSD teams or with affiliated clubs.
2. Luiss Team Athletes (LT)
   Competitive athletes registered with national sports federations, participating in competitions as part of the Luiss SSD teams.
3. Luiss Pro Athletes (LPA)
   Elite athletes in individual or team sports, registered with national or foreign clubs. These athletes may continue training and competing with their home clubs affiliated with national or international sports federations.
4. Luiss Athletes (LA)
   Federation-registered or Sports Promotion Body-registered competitive athletes.
5. Luiss Players (LP)
   Non-competitive athletes who participate in activities within the “Luiss Sport for All” project or other sports events organized by Luiss SSD.

Scholarships

Each academic year, Luiss awards sports scholarships in the following categories:

• Luiss Top Athletes – LTA
• Luiss Team Athletes – LT

Reserved for student-athletes enrolled at Luiss in the current academic year.
