LUISS and FederCanottaggio together for the “Dual Career”

“Instil sports culture in young people in order to promote a healthy lifestyle and ethical values”. This was the incipit of the MoU between LUISS, Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, and Federazione Italiana Canottaggio, signed on the 2nd February 2016. Thanks to this agreement on the 10th of July, at 4 PM, in the Ballroom of Villa Blanc, there will be held the launch of the project:

“LUISS e FederCanottaggio insieme per lo sviluppo della Dual Career”, “LUISS and FederCanottaggio together for the Dual Career”.

Luigi Abete, President of SSD LUISS, stated: “The MoU closed with FederCanottaggio is not just a goal achieved but a starting point for a long term committment to make real the Dual Career”.

“I am proud of partnership consolidation between the representative of Italian Rowing and LUISS – said the President of Federazione Italiana Canottaggio Giuseppe Abbagnale – I see this as the firts step toward a long term presence of sports within the best Italian Universities, as in the experience of English-speaking countries. I am confident that the Italian reality will be able to fill the gap with the international peers thanks to excellent promoters as LUISS”.

The one presented in this occasion is challenging project targeted for Top Players of several sports disciplines and will give the opportunity to the Italian athletes Ludovica Serafini and Giorgia Pelacchi, who earned the 4th spot at Euro 2017, of attending a top-quality University as LUISS, while also training to achieve the best results for the Italian team in international competitions. LUISS and Federazione Italiana Canottaggio undertook this challenge of supporting the two athletes in compliance with the cultural ethical and sports values they always encourage.
The project launch will take place at the presence of Luigi Abete, President of Società Sportiva Dilettantistica LUISS, Roberto Pessi, Vice Dean to Didactics atLUISS, Giuseppe Abbagnale President and Francesco Cattaneo Technical Manager of Federazione Italiana Canottaggio. Giovanni Malagò, President of CONI, and Luca Pancalli, President of CIP, will also attend the event. Valerio Iafrate, Responsible for Communication Coordination at Rai, will lead the debate.
