Women’s volleyball, Luiss beats Educatt and flies into the final in the CSI tournament

Our volleyball players won easy: the girls of coach Marra beat Educatt 2-0 and reached the final of the CSI tournament. Luiss’s women’s volleyball team represented our University at its best in the competition of the Italian Sports Centre, taking on the role in view of the upcoming championship commitments.

The challenge against Educatt, team of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, lasts just two fractions of the game. There is no need, in fact, for the third set of play-offs, as provided for by the formula of the tournament. It ends 2-0, with Luiss competing for the title on Thursday 11th April. The match was a mix of novelties and well-known names. Many athletes who joined the team only this year, along with some veterans, took to the field.

A united group, on and off the pitch, that of coach Marra. A group that could take some great satisfaction.

Before you think big, however, you have to focus on the races this week. Green Volley and Diamond Roma are waiting for us in the FIPAV First Division Championship.
