Top Athletes, bronze encore for Luca Curatoli at the World Fencing Championships

The golden age of our student athletes continues. At the World Fencing Championships in Budapest, Luca Curatoli won two bronze medals: the first in the single and the second with the men’s sabre team.

The Top Athlete in the individual races stopped in the semifinals against Sanguk Oh. Then, he beat Germany 45-38 with the Italian quartet. To accompany him in the encore, Luigi Samele, Enrico Berrè and Aldo Montano.

His performance against the Germans was brilliant: Luca built the maximum advantage (+14) against Huebner and Fehrer. A performance that gave the Azzurri the podium.
