Top Athletes, raining medals over the weekend for our student-athletes

It was a weekend full of satisfaction for our Top Athletes. In Gavirate, Vincenzo Abbagnale was crowned Italian Champion with the men’s four-naked boat of the Italian Navy.

Marta Zenoni also climbed onto the national roof, triumphing in Grosseto in the 5000m PF, with a time of 16.07.25, and in the 1500m, in 4.16.65.

Bronze for Marco Fassinotti in Geneva: the jumper returned to clear the bar at 2.25. His best performance in the last three years. Third also for his “colleague” Gianmarco Tamberi at the Golden Gala. At the Ridolfi Stadium in Florence, Gimbo cleared the 2.33 bar. An excellent result in view of the Tokyo Olympics.
