Swimming, second round of 2023 for the Luiss Intesa Sanpaolo team
The second round of the year was excellent for our Luiss Intesa Sanpaolo swimming team who competed on Saturday 21 January at the swimming pool of the Federal Center of Ostia.
Lorenzo D’Angelo and Alberto Crosato took to the pool for the 100m freestyle setting times of 51.2 and 54.4, both significant considering the load period faced both in the water and in the gym.
Good indications came from the men’s breaststroke with Lorenzo Paolini (1.09.2), Lorenzo Piferi (1.08.9) and Emanuele Davide (1.05.5) who in the 100m approached their best times of the season.
Positive results also for the girls: Costanza Emanuele who competed in the 50 butterfly and stopped the clock in 30.6, despite some technical errors, achieved her best time ever. Excellent performance also in the 100m backstroke where she with 1.08.1 touches her staff.
A day to remember for Costanza Poerio who, in just 15 tenths, first smashes her record in the 50m butterfly (29.3) and immediately afterwards retouches her personal record also in the 100m backstroke, her specialty, touching the plate in 1.04.3. The next will be a weekend break from competitions for our girls and boys who will continue to train hard these days in and out of the water.
