Basketball B league, a good win against Tecnoswitch Ruvo di Puglia

Great result for Basket Serie B, which wins in the sprint on Ruvo di Puglia, after a match fought until the last possession. Honorable mention for Andrea Martino, author of 21 points and 9 rebounds and protagonist of a heartfelt game in which he dominated under the boards in the decisive moments.

Both quintets start with high defenses and pressing. The hosts score with confidence, but our guys chase thanks to the triples of Tredici and Murri.

In the second half, Martino brings us ahead again. The challenge, however, is hard fought and no team is able to stretch. The first half ends in a draw, 30-30.

In the third quarter, an episode seems to shift the balance. The referee whistles a technical foul for protests to Murri, his fourth. Ruvo takes advantage of the moment and stretches, but Tredici and Martino immediately put Luiss back in the slipstream on 44-43. Martino again brings energy on defense, disrupting the opponent’s penetrations and at the end of the period scores the -2 on 47-45.

For the last 10′, it picks up as it ended. Martino scores a forceful basket, from underneath, that ties the score at 47-47. A triple by D’Argenzio and baskets by Tredici and Di Carmine put Luiss up 56-53.

Our guys are hungry for basketball and it shows, Ruvo’s bench also gets a technical foul. The game heats up. Pasqualin in penetration scores the momentary 61-53 with four to go, but the home team makes one last effort and goes back to 64-64. The usual Martino brings us back ahead.

The final is incandescent: Pasqualin loses the ball and gives the possession of the tie to Ruvo, but also on the other side the forward loses control and the ball. D’Argenzio’s free throws are decisive in delivering the two points to Luiss. It ends 72-68.
