Calcio Eccellenza, nice win against Audace in the first of the season

  • 17 April 2021

On Sunday, the Eccellenza Championship (re)started, with the new format of three groups of 11 teams. Six months later, coach Ledesma’s team returned to the field and faced this new beginning in the best possible way, winning against Audace 1919.

Right from the start, De Vincenzi sows panic in the adversary’s defence, first with a great free kick that was blocked in the corner and then getting an opportunity from the penalty spot, unfortunately not materialized. After a few minutes, captain Maestrelli goes out for injury, but the team continues to show great determination. At half time, the team takes the lead with a goal by Biraschi off a corner kick by Cinti.

A slight drop follows, in which Poli is forced to make a resounding save. But shortly afterwards, Le Rose gave way to an irrepressible progression of De Vincenzi. The bomber, after getting rid of two defenders, deposits the 2-0 ball in the net. At the end of the first half, a penalty kick opens the game again.

In the second half, after the Audace goalkeeper’s opposition to the umpteenth dribbling and conclusion of De Vincenzi, Neccia puts the final 3-1 on goal. In the final minutes, Nolano was forced to leave the field, while Palazzolo showed off two good chances in counterattack. A nice testimony to the commitment and spirit shown until the final whistle.

Good first match for our guys. Now head to the next challenge!
