Luiss Roma Basket Serie B suffers, goes down by 16, recovers the disadvantage and then hits Taranto bringing home yet another victory as a great team with the final score of 88-93.

With this victory, one day from the end, Luiss remains at the top of the standings and the last, decisive match will be played on Sunday 7 May at the Palaluiss at 18.00 against Juve Caserta. It will do so in conjunction with the other matches, including Teramo–Roseto and Salerno-Sant’Antimo, to decide the first 4 places in the final standings.
In a packed building, Taranto starts in Golden State style. Run and shoot. Luiss doesn’t seem to react and Paccariè calls him to report. Falluca and Di Bonaventura begin to warm up and we are 26-12. Fallucca takes a liking to it and with Barbon and Jovovic they push: Luiss then returns 27-22. Zini scores seven consecutive points and Luiss is one possession up 46-44. Taranto continues to produce excellent basketball and we go to the interval 55-50.
Fallucca hammers from the long run and Taranto short of rotations, its percentages drop. Luiss puts her head forward in the thirtieth minute 67-71. It’s time to close the match and the university team tightens the defensive shirts. Taranto has none left and guests flee 70-78. There is one last gasp from Taranto, but Luiss makes no mistake from the line and takes home 2 fundamental points.
