The Luiss Intesa Sanpaolo Swimming team was well exposed in the last two days in Florence during the eleventh Spring Meeting held at the Bellariva swimming pool. Our girls and boys have distinguished themselves, despite this being a period of improvement and load in training, winning three medals and achieving good personal results.

The competitions of our athletes began on Sunday 30 April in the afternoon, with the 100m freestyle of Raffaele Fabiano, Alberto Crosato and Mafalda Aiassa, who swam good times in line with expectations.

The girls Costanza Poerio and Costanza Emanuele then took to the pool in the 100m backstroke, signing respectively 1.09.70 and 1.11.51, times on which we can still work but indicative of a growing quality in performance.

The intense afternoon continues with the 50m dolphin by Raffaele Fabiano, 27.11, and by Costanza Poerio, 29.70, and the 50m breaststroke by Lorenzo Piferi, 31.74, and Costanza Emanuele, 37.20, all showing excellent results in speed, a sign of the good work that is doing in the water, above all thanks to the attention of the coach Emmanuele Zuccalà on the technical aspects. Above all, Lorenzo Piferi stood out who finished third in the absolute category on the 50m breaststroke.

The next day our athletes return to the pool in the morning, with the 100 breaststroke of Lorenzo Piferi, 1.13.29, and the 50 freestyle of Mafalda Aiassa, 29.90, Alberto Crosato, 25.44, and Raffaele Fabiano, 24.20, this last winning the silver medal in the absolute category. The girls close in the 50m backstroke, Costanza Emanuele with 33.32 and Costanza Poerio with 31.60 who from fifth place recovers two positions obtaining the third step of the podium, closing the debut of our boys and girls in the best possible way in the Tuscan capital.

They were two days of great satisfaction for everyone, which led our team to stand out in a new context, arousing great curiosity on the part of coaches, parents and young people who are increasingly discovering the reality and capabilities of our student-athletes.
