Top Athletes scream: three golds for Rebecca Gargano, Gregorio Alibrandi and Donato Telesca

The one that just ended was a week full of satisfaction for some of our Top Athletes. One student and two students Luiss have achieved excellent results in prestigious sporting events.

The sabre player Rebecca Gargano won the gold medal at the Universiade of Naples 2019. Together with her companions Michela Battiston and Lucia Lucarini, the “landlady” triumphed in the team competition, beating France in the final after a hard-fought match.

Gregorio Alibrandi also won gold, first at the LXXII Targa d’Oro. On the green of the splendid setting of the Villa d’Este club, our golfer recorded the following results: 68/68/66/65, -9.

Another incredible achievement was achieved by Donato Telesca, who took the top step of the podium at the ParaPowerlifting World Championship. The Italian repeated his success in Mexico City two years ago. He only needed one attempt to win the gold, overtaking Uzbek Matyakubov and Iraqi Al-Behadili.

Congratulations, guys. You are proof that you can practice sports at a high level and at the same time be brilliant students.
