Basketball B league, defeat in the comeback on leader Real Rieti’s court

Despite a game played evenly, Basket B league is defeated by the clash with Real Rieti. On the court of the leader, it ends 71-59.

Our boys start badly, in difficulty both in attack and in defense. After a few minutes, the score is already 4-17. The team, however, doesn’t get demoralized and, thanks to Tredici, Pasqualin and Infante, arrives at halftime at 31-31.

In the third quarter, Murri and Bonaccorso‘s defense gives us solidity. Paccariè’s quintet completes the comeback and goes ahead, reaching +7 at the end of the quarter. In the last period, however, Rieti recovers and ties the score at 35′. Then, with two consecutive triples by Loschi, they pull away and take the lead. At the buzzer, the final score is 71-59.

The negative result doesn’t erase the good performance, which gives morale in view of the last regular season game. Next week challenge in Sant’Antimo: the goal is to gain important points for the clock phase.
