Basketball series B, the Luiss BNL yields against Senigallia

The Luiss BNL loses with honor against Senigallia 70-73: the university team plays an epic game, fighting with all its might, but then gives up in the final seconds.

Senigallia’s guest team starts off strong, not wanting to risk anything and hoping to extinguish ours’ ambitions. In fact, it manages to close the first quarter ahead, 14-22.

In the second quarter Pasqualin sounds the charge and the university team gets back into the game up to -6. The match becomes edgy and defenses start playing dirty.

In the second half, Luiss is able to play with continuity and the score is in constant balance. Legnini and Pasqualin give the tie on 61 at 5 minutes to go. The Palaluiss is inflamed for this mini overtime.

D’Argenzio lights up and Luiss goes ahead by 3, but Varaschin and his mates find the strength to react and the final photo finish rewards the guests.

Luiss comes out with its head held high from the last home game and, after a very difficult first part of the season, Paccariè’s team closes in crescendo and enjoys a quiet post season, resting from any play out.
