Serie B basketball, Luiss Roma narrowly wins in Avellino
Another victory for the Luiss Roma Basket Serie B which suffers, but emerges as a great team, imposing itself on the difficult field of Avellino 93-95. The team demonstrates a masterful choral performance, but also shows off a trio of wonders made up of Pasqualin (26p), Legnini and Murri, who secure the victory in the final.
Avellino starts strong and wins the fight on rebounds and escapes 18-10 thanks to Ellantonio and Caridà.
A triple from Legnini and Luiss make contact again, followed by the first overtaking in the capital with a triple from Pasqualin. The first quarter closes ahead 19-20.
Di Bonaventura gets himself a physical three-point game. Avellino is hot and in 40 seconds it places two triples and goes ahead 29-23. Pasqualin’s triple for 29-26 is fundamental. Jovovic with 4 consecutive points impacts on 33-33. Thus ends the first half 41-43 for Luiss.
The game is beautiful to see and the public enjoys itself and always makes itself felt in a sporting way.

The finale to the free throws rewards Luiss (Pasqualin scores 11/11) who bring home a hard-fought but deserved victory.
The summit clash between Luiss and Ruvo di Puglia, scheduled as a midweek round in view of Easter, on Wednesday 5 April, has been postponed to 26 April. So the next match is on April 16 in Pozzuoli.
