Two on Two for LUISS Basket!

LUISS stolen the scene at Cagliari’s own home hall conquering, point by point, the second consecutive victory. The match ended in favor of our team 66-70. The opening half was complicated for LUISS which gone under for 12-2. Seemed like a match already written when the team decided to start tightening the jersey and defending. Macron led his teammates and the problematical moment was overcome.

Free throws were ineffective for both teams, LUISS closed with 45% while Cagliari with 48%.  The match was consistently intriguing: in fact, in the end of the second quarter LUISS started to play with higher intensity, closing with 5 lengths in favor. Then Cagliari, thanks to the home public’s support, ended the third half ahead. The match was brought home thanks to Beretta (22p. 9r) when began his personal show getting precious points for the team. Was fundamental even the contribution of Marcon (18p 5r), but the match was closed by De Dominicis (7p. 3 rec.). “This is a central victory – says the second coach  Andrea Fulgaro – we were able to stay strong raising the defensive pressure. We don’t scored well, but we were always focused in the essential moments. The key was the consistent intensity which permitted us to have a lots of possession. Even this time is a team success. Particular mention to an uncontainable Beretta, a precious Marcon in the most important moment and to De Dominicis who trained well all week waiting for his moment, which arrived in the end of the match, when was the real protagonist.
