Men’s volleyball, two on two!

Here we are, once again without a voice and with a smile on the face all day long.

The day after these great games is always more beautiful, there are those who comment on the game, there are those who remember the best games and those who find similarities with the past. But immediately afterwards, we all remember the new goal, we are already aiming for the next game.
Two out of two then for LUISS Volley, 10 sets played and lots of really strong emotions that we shared with an unexpected but much desired cheering in recent years.
But let’s go with order.
The game starts with a slight delay and already in the first points we understood that it would not be a quiet Thursday night, we knew that the opponent was strong and that it would be very long to climb for the victory. First set nice, some mistakes that unfortunately we still carry with us from the last game and that, also because of the many distractions and some wrong choice on the field, sees us lose 22-25.
The second set can be divided in two parts, the first half not very comforting, players a bit ‘demoralized almost as if they were resigning to an ominous fate that seemed written, some errors then that distance us from the opponent by 6 points and that we can not reduce. But something changes in the second half, thanks to the players but especially to the small group of fans who, like us, do not want to leave the building without points! They raise their voices, they make themselves heard and push us beyond inciting the sextet to the comeback that does not take long to arrive. We have touched the miracle arriving at the advantages but losing the second set 24-26.
But something had changed. The players wanted to put in all the determination and determination for the supporters in the stands that did not stop singing and also because we would not have a second chance.
So we start the 3 set as we had concluded the previous one, with determination and determination, not having time for regrets. The PalaLUISS asked for it, we had to give them a great show. And so it was, the last 3 sets were without finished story 25-16; 25-16 and 15-8.
The next day, then, we coldly analyze the entire game and we can see what is the personality of LUISS Volley this year, an emotional team, which suffers but that does not fall, finding precisely from the difficulties the desire for redemption and victory that flares in each of us, players on the field and bench, from the first to the last. This beginning of the championship is overwhelming, unexpected, but with such a typhus we have no limits.
