Who is the Team Manager?
The figure of the Team Manager appears in the organisation chart of the sports clubs at the end of the 1980s. Initially the Team Manager was the one who was responsible for completing the list to be handed over to the referee and reporting replacements during the match.
Today the Team Manager plays a fundamental role in modern sports clubs, as he must be able to mediate between team and company with the utmost reliability on both fronts, being aware of the policies, philosophy and style of the company.
What skills should the Team Manager have?
The professional figure of the Team Manager requires an in-depth knowledge of the dynamics of society and a wide range of soft skills, such as:
empathy
organisational skills
problem solving
recognize gaps and areas for improvement
