Swimming, the season of the Luiss Swim Team closes in beauty at the Flaminio Meeting
On 27 May, in the federal swimming pool of Pietralata, the Flaminio Meeting was held, a stage of the FIN circuit. Our athletes entered the water for the last round of the season, motivated to conclude this year at its best.
The dances opened with a fast race: the 50 backs that saw protagonists Carolina Rubino, Francesco Canu (first in its category) and Marco Impagnatiello (third).
Excellent results, such as Alberto Crosato‘s first in the 50 style with a time of 23.92. Marco Albano, on the other hand, descends under the wall of 28 seconds (27.68), while Impagnatiello ends the season with a 29.84.
Gold also for Emanuele Greco, who wins first place in the 50 frogs in 32”. In the 200m four of our athletes compete for the victory of the battery: the check Mauro Immediato, second Cosmo Lucreziano (2.21.90), while Edoardo Cortopassi is last but third.
In the 400 style of the Meeting Flaminio Sofia Malagnino closes with a 4.44.98, Andrea Cerrocchi in 4.34.86.
The afternoon session starts with the 100 free style, where many of our athletes compete for the podium. The first to go in the pool is Michela Rudelli, who ends the season with a time of 1.07.84. Sofia Malagnino follows with 1.02.01.
Always in the 100 style Alberto Crosato knocks down several tenths and signs the absolute staff of the season at 52.60. Francesco Canu, on the other hand, finished in 55.11.
In the 100 backstroke Carolina Rubino takes second place with 1.10.42, while Andrea Cerrocchi has a good time with the time of 1.02.93. Another internal challenge of the team is the one between Luigi Perricone (1.01.85) and Cosmo Lucreziano (1.02.81).
The last battery of the meeting are the 100 frogs that propose the historical challenge between the two ranches of the Luiss Swim Team: Edoardo Cortopassi wins with the time of 1.09.28. Silver medal for Emanuele Greco with 1.10.14.
The season ends with another good performance of the team. Our athletes will now be able to relax and then restart at their best, waiting for new talented young people like this year’s freshmen. The coach Andrea Gargallo and the technical director Alessandro Terrin can be considered satisfied.
