Basketball B league, great win against Tramarossa Vicenza in Game 1

Great team effort by the boys of Basket Serie B that, thanks to an excellent defense, beat Tramarossa Vicenza 79-58. Top scorer for Luiss: Bonaccorso with 16 points.

Luiss opens the game with a 5-0 run, thanks to Rota. A triple by Pasqualin follows, immediately sending the team into a run. Vicenza, however, pushes with Hidalgo and shortens the distance. Bonaccorso’s double triple, captain due to Martino’s absence, pushes our guys ahead. Paccariè’s quintet defends well, puts the home team in trouble and, with Rota in counterattack, scores 18-11. A basket by Vicenza closes the first quarter on 14-20.

In the second quarter, 5 consecutive points by Sanna and a triple by Tredici give us +12. Luiss is solid in defense and tough in offense, Vicenza is on the ropes. Infante gives the maximum advantage, then Tredici, from the corner, pushes away the counterbreak of the opponents. Paccariè’s team closes the first half with 7/15 from 3, the score is 41-27 for us.

Back on the court, the team is solid and ruthless and flies on 51-35. Sanna in reverse extends the lead, Bonaccorso makes a 3-pointer for 57-39. Infante dominates under the boards and Pasqualin hits from behind the arc. Luiss dominates: the game ends 79-58.
