Football Eccellenza, nobody scores in the debut against U.S. Ladispoli

The debut in the championship of Eccellenza sees our boys vs the tough players of Ladispoli. In Via del Baiardo, as in the rest of the city, the day is particularly cold. Pouring rain doesn’t stop, but despite that the two teams reach the pitch. Mister Ledesma relies forward on the quality of De Vincenzi and Biraschi, assisted by the geometries of Captain Maestrelli.

You can immediately perceive the heaviness of the match that the boys will be called upon to face, due to expert opponents and a field that, as minutes goes by, becomes more and more impracticable. The first half slips away without any particular regrets on either side: a balanced and very hard-fought match.

The second half starts like the first, but the side offended by our boys is more dirty than the other half. The coach’s directives are no longer effective due to the ground conditions and the match has a turning point. The attack begins to be managed by crosses and high balls, and on one of these  De Vincenzi, the bomber devours the 1-0 chance.

There is also a direct red foul committed against Maestrelli, who leaves Ladispoli in 10 for about half an hour.

The match ended, not without some regrets, with a Solomonic 0-0. The team, however, gave important signals, showing that in the new championship it can and knows how to play. Despite the thunderous rain has lowered the technical level of the two formations, the excellent signals seen bode well.
