Basketball Serie B, Marco Legnini joins Luiss roster

AS Luiss is pleased to announce the arrival of Marco Legnini, a 1996 student-athlete, who will reinforce Basket Serie B. The wing has already made himself available to the coach for the upcoming sporting commitments, starting with the challenge against Jesi.

Legnini, 198 centimeters and 92 kilograms, started the season in Serie C Gold at Pass Roma and now has accepted to return to Serie B, a category he already knew with the jerseys of Empoli, Alessandria, Crema, Patti and Scandiano.

Gifted with a good hand, both from mid and long range, last season he scored 9.9 points per game, shooting with over 42% from the field (52% from two points, 31.6% from three points) in 23.8 minutes played with the Tuscan jersey. He has recovered 5.7 rebounds on average, reaching a 10.5 rating, the best figure of his entire career.

As far as points are concerned, his career high dates back to January 25, 2020: 21 against Florence, with the Alessandria jersey. In these first months of the season, he scored 15 points per game, albeit in a lower category.

I know there is a lot of work to do to get out of this complicated situation: we will have to sweat in the gym every day to be ready for the top period of the season. I love to shoot in any situation, I also have the body to play my part under the basket”. So he introduced himself.
