Tennis, Team Luiss Capital Advisory wins again
A victorious day on Sunday, April 3 for Tennis Luiss Capital Advisory, which dominated the two matches.
The women’s tennis won with a net 3-0 for the second time in a row.
By now the team formed by Gaia Proietti, Viola Angelini, Francesca Valle and Chiara Orselli has found the right chemistry. Thanks to Proietti’s grit, the match ended with an easy 6-2, 6-0 victory.
Angelini didn’t want to let the team lack her support and won the second match with a 6-1, 6-2.
The doubles sees the pair Valle Orselli take the field for the first time and they start their season well: they win a difficult first set 6-4, while the second set, after winning the first game, sees the opposing team retire.
The men’s tennis meets at the old shooting club, a prestigious court in the heart of North Rome.
The match is immediately downhill for our players, who find no difficulty in winning all the games, bringing home a net 6-0. The absence of Russo was made up for by an extraordinary Gerone who, despite some injury, won his match 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Trippetti, as usual, wins his match easily in two sets 6-2, 6-4 against a tough opponent, with a slow and nerve-wracking game.
The second match featured Captain Saccone, who won without any difficulty 6-2, 6-3. Immediately afterwards, the captain made himself available to the other teammates, giving them valuable advice on how to tackle the matches.
The last singles match saw the debut of Boglione, who was immediately ready, winning 6-4, 7-5.
Having reached 4-0 at doubles, the university students didn’t stop: the will to bring home a 6-0 is strong and so the two pairs Trippetti Saccone and Boglione Gerone entered the court looking for a victory.
Trippetti and Saccone proved to be a great winning pair and easily brought the match home with a 6-2,6-3.
The last doubles match, featuring Boglione and Gerone, is full of emotions, with a head to head match won by ours at the match tiebreak for 10-6.
Great Sunday for our two teams, who are preparing for the next challenges, in search of the title.
