Women’s tennis, Luiss Capital Advisory team conquers the C Series

Luiss Capital Advisory women’s tennis team conquers, after a very tough match, the C Series.

On the 3G Tennis court, under a scorching sun, with a perceived temperature of 35 degrees, our players Viola Angelini and Gaia Proietti challenge their opponents in singles, trying to win the promotion right away.

Angelini, in a state of grace, does her job and wins her match with an easy 6-0 6-0.

Proietti starts the first set well by leading 4-2, but gets caught up losing the set 7-6. Proietti is visibly on her legs, aided by the very high temperatures and the pressure that such an important match entails. The second set saw her opponent prevail decisively, winning 6-2.

It all comes down to doubles: a decisive and important moment that marks an entire season.

Our well-established pair, Angelini-Proietti, takes the court again and, with grit and heart, wins the first set 6-4. The 3G Tennis players do not give up and, dragged by the audience, win the second set 6-2.

At the match-tiebreak the tension is through the roof. We start well bringing it to 5-2, close to victory however we get recovered putting the match in a critical situation, with the score at 7-9.

3G Tennis wins two match points to which, fortunately, our college girls respond bringing the score to 9-9. A double fault followed and 10-9 for us. On the new match point we beat Angelini and the opponents answer on the diagonal. In our turn we relaunch a longline forehand and the rebound off 3G Tennis decides the match.

We are champions and Luiss Capital Advisory Women’s Tennis Luiss is in Series C, thanks to the efforts of the whole team, Francesca Valle, Anastasiia Prokofeva and Chiara Orselli.
