Serie B basketball, Luiss Roma wins in Monopoli

On Sunday 19 February another good victory arrives for Luiss Roma who defeat Monopoli at home 85-67. The university team rises in the standings to 32, always second alone behind Ruvo di Puglia and ahead of Roseto.

When you are second in the standings, the opposing teams come looking for a business and for this reason Coach Paccariè always demands the same grit. So we’re off to a good start, with Perotti from below and a triple from Pasqualin who immediately lead Luiss 11-4.

The university players spin the ball well and contain the offensive gusts of the guests. Partial in the 7th minute of 20-9. Monopoli, with the new acquisition Laquintana, tries to undermine the defense of the Romans. End of first quarter 27-17.

Jovovic, Fallucca and Murri preside from the perimeter and in transition. Luiss is a machine and ends the first half 46-32.

Monopoli tries to return and thanks to Bastoni and Laquintana it returns to minus ten. Di Bonaventura lets his experience be felt, then comes a triple from Jovovic for 62-48. We go to the last quarter with a score of 65-53. A triple from Di Bonaventura ends Monopoli’s hopes and brings the match to 70-53.

In the finale, Paccariè rests part of the quintet and gives space to his young players.
