Women’s basketball, Luiss BNL wins a difficult match at home

On Friday 3 February the Luiss Basket BNL team plays against Guidonia at the Palaluiss and the match is immediately intense and fought right from the kick-off.
The Luiss girls secured the first quarter by just one point (12-11), but didn’t have the upper hand in the next two: after the slight disadvantage, the opponents attacked closing the second quarter 24-26 and carried on even after the start of the second half.
Our girls don’t give up and try to recover, in a point-to-point clash which however continues to see them down even in the third quarter, which ends 39-42.
The turning point comes in the final quarter: the landlords don’t give up and regain control of the game, closing the game with a score of 54-50 and thus ensuring the victory for the university students.
