Swimming, Luiss Intesa Sanpaolo at the absolute Italian Championships
April 14, 2023In these days, from 13 to 17 April in Riccione, the absolute Italian Swimming Championships are being held.
This is the biggest and most anticipated race of the season, where our nation’s best swimmers will enter the pool with high aspirations. It is the first opportunity to try to qualify for the summer world championships in Japan and two of our student athletes from the Luiss Intesa Sanpaolo swimming team will compete, challenging themselves in the main event: the 100m freestyle.
It is the first time that a university swimming team has managed to bring its name and its athletes so high, demonstrating how much commitment and will can lead to sometimes unexpected results.
The two athletes who will take to the pool on Saturday morning are Raffaele Fabiano, team captain, and Lorenzo D’Angelo, who distinguished themselves not only for their excellent performances, but also for their constancy and dedication in their daily training sessions, in conjunction with the university commitments. In addition to the boys, applause also goes to the technical staff who pushed the athletes towards continuous improvement in performance.
The sporting feat of Raffaele and Lorenzo will be broadcast on Saturday 15 April at 11:00 on Rai Sport and in live streaming
