II Edition “Food and Health: analysis, problems, proposals and actions”

On Thursday 25 October, from 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., the second edition of the Medical-Scientific Forum entitled “A Check-Up for Italy” will be held. It was set up by the Biagio Agnes Foundation at Villa Blanc (via Nomentana 216), home of the LUISS Business School, in collaboration with RAI – Radiotelevisione Italiana.

The theme of the event will be “Food and Health: Analysis, Problems, Proposals and Actions”, and aims to educate to the awareness of the correlation between health and risk, raise awareness on the theme of nutrition and eating disorders (which are an obvious public health problem also for their onset increasingly early among young people, with particular reference to women), to promote prevention activities.

Nutrition education has always been a theme promoted by the LUISS Sports Association, whose general objective is to contaminate a healthy and conscious lifestyle, with particular attention to the prevention of eating disorders.

The event was sponsored by the Senate of the Republic, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Forestry and Tourism, the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS), the Lazio Region, the Pontifical Council for Culture, the Federazione Nazionale della Stampa Italiana (FNSI) and the Ordine Nazionale dei Giornalisti (ODG).
