Interview with Michele Vacca – LUISS Soccer

Among the many new faces of this year’s LUISS Football one of the youngest is Michele Vacca. Class 2000 from Reggio Calabria is a wing mid-fielder of quality, but if necessary was also used in front of the defense as a metronome. Today we contacted him to understand how his inclusion in the LUISS World and his impressions of this first part of the season is going.

For a freshman, you know, the impact with the university world is not always easy. How do you rate your experience in these first few places in the LUISS world?

My experience in these first few months is absolutely positive both from the academic point of view and from the sporting one. I studied Economics and Management, I took two exams, respectively Business Economics and Mathematics, both passed with 26, but I aim to improve!

LUISS, through its Sport Academy, allows its students in growing their sporting passions by making them go hand in hand with the study. How important is it for you to be able to combine the two?

From my point of view, it is essential to combine the two. Both sport and study are very important for my everyday life because they allow me to socialize and get involved and in this environment the two things are very well combined.

The team is mostly made up of young people in their early academic years. Have you ever had a connection with anyone in particular? How much did being part of a team help you to get into the LUISS world at your best?

Luckily, I’ve bonded with all my teammates. They are helping me to enter the LUISS world in the best possible way, the greatest especially give me a lot of advice. I am very grateful to them and I feel lucky to have found such a group.

You are a boy born in 2000. Having a coach with an important past like Roberto Rambaudi and teammates like Guglielmo Stendardo: did you expect it? How are your relationships with them?

The relationship with the coach and with Guglielmo is good, the latter has integrated perfectly into the group, he’s now one of us! I think the coach is very competent and he’s helping us to reach our goal, from a human and sporting point of view.

To conclude, Michele, what do you expect for LUISS Football in this 2019?

If we continue to train with dedication, as we are doing, we will reach ambitious goals.
