Male Volleyball, Luiss beats 3-1 also Zagarolo

  • 6 March 2019

In the recovery of the seventh day, Luiss triumphs over Zagarolo: another 3-1 after the one trimmed over the ASD Polas.

An important victory for the ranking, but not convincing from the point of view of performance. Analyzing the match partials, it can be seen that everything has been decided to the advantages. Especially in the last set, which ended on 30-28 for ours: the longest played to date.

The visiting team was within the reach of our boys, but the fourth set saw us start with a handicap of 5 points. One of the blackouts that didn’t allow us to close the match immediately. These empty passes instead gave spirit and strength to the opponents, hopeful in the comeback after the third set won 25-23. The partial one left a bitter taste in the mouth of coaches and players, who took to the field with only one objective: to take the three points and continue the fight for first place.

These games can rekindle the determination and hunger of the boys of coach Narduzzi. After the defeat against Afrogiro, there were no performances worthy of note from a qualitative point of view. In any case, two victories have also come, which is what counts to keep believing in it.

Updating the ranking, today we are 28 points, in the playoff area and less than 2 from the leader.

The goal of the season remains promotion to Serie D. A result that would give credit to the work done so far by the team that has been created and amalgamated during this season.

These are the partial results of the match against Zagarolo: 26-24; 25-16; 23-25; 30-28.

Next commitment Saturday, March 9 against ASD Volley La Storta.
