University Soccer: tie with John Cabot gives Luiss the semi-final
Giovannetti’s eleven players did a good job, drawing 1-1 against John Cabot University and flying into the semifinals. Qualifying came by playing a careful game and conducted in a choral way.
Ours are off to a very strong start, with three clear goal occasions already in the first 15 minutes. John Cabot accuses, defends, tries to restart but can not react. Perhaps the technical qualities are lacking, but Luiss’s lads don’t lack them.
The second half saw a reaction from the American team, more vigorous and forced to make a result to pass the turn. In the middle of the second half, John Cabot scores the goal of the possible qualification and Luiss for a moment seems to suffer the blow. The reaction is not long in coming, however, and driven by an incredibly hot crowd our boys manage to find the goal with Marco Consiglio in the final minutes.
A goal that is worth the semifinals and triggers the party on the pitch and in the stands.
Appointment at FutbolCampus on Wednesday 10 April at 21:00 for the match against Link Campus University. Another 90 minutes to live intensely to continue dreaming of the final victory.
Go Luiss!
