final flag for Riccardo Ponzio: the Top Athlete graduated with a degree in Economics and Management

A final flag for Riccardo Ponzio: our Top Athlete graduated in Economics and Management. An important goal for him, arrived in a very challenging competitive period. But the driver of the Jaguar Racing R3 is a lover of challenges and has accustomed us to obtaining excellent results on the books as well as on the track. He told us about the emotion of the moment, the importance of Dual Career and his next goals.

Riccardo, how does a pilot celebrate?

By training, especially during a pandemic. Soon we’ll be going to try out in Austria, where on May 20 I’ll have the first race of the season, again with the Formula 1 Jaguar. Otherwise, I will have a restricted dinner with family members, in full compliance with anti-Covid regulations.

Is the excitement of a graduation comparable to winning a race?

Surely they are two strong emotions. Selfishly, though, winning a sporting event always tastes more exciting.

How supportive was your team in reaching this goal?

My team has been fundamental, because they have understood the needs on the university front and have always helped me, giving me space and time to better prepare for exams, my “academic competitions”.

After graduation, do you think you will continue with your studies?

Absolutely yes: I think it is important to continue with Dual Career and I would like to dedicate myself to a Master’s degree. In parallel, I would like to continue with my competitive path. I’m in a moment where both careers are giving me great satisfaction.
