Women’s Volleyball, first challenge for the girls of coach Marra against Ascor Volleyball

After more than a year of championship stop, the Italian Cup of First Division FIPAV began for the Luiss Probios Women’s Volleyball team. The excitement was high, the girls were ready to get involved and a victory against Ascor Volleyball came.

The team of coach Antonio Marra started off a bit slow and due to some mistakes the set was given to the opponents. It ends 21-25, but the match is just at the beginning…

The girls return to the field with more concentration, starting immediately well. A good team game leads the team to take several lengths of advantage, winning the second set 25-16.

The third set starts well, but following a good game of the opponent, who rode our moment of difficulty, the team finds itself down 16-21. Nothing is decided yet: thanks to a series of winning hits and a more careful game, the set is overturned. The formation of mister Marra closes with the result of 25-23 in favor.

The fourth set starts with the same spirit of the previous one. A more precise and incisive game in the batting put in difficulty the opponent’s reception, finally marking the success of the team for 25-17.

The debut match of this season ends 3-1 for us. A well-deserved result, which saw the protagonist the team game between the players on the field, the coaches and the bench.

Antonio Marra commented at the end of the match: “It was a complicated match, especially from an emotional point of view, as it was our first official match. The girls, especially the new ones, had some difficulties. The value of the group is very high and I believe in them. I’m sure they will give us a lot of fun. We have to work and we will see the fruits.
