Serie B basketball, setback for Luiss Roma against Fabriano

Setback by Luiss in the race for the finals in Ferrara where four teams will compete for access to the A2. Tuesday 30 May Fabriano wins in Rome on the Luiss field 77-73 after a match fought point by point until the end. Centanni scores 29 points with 6 out of 10 from 3 and Papa with another 25 points leads Fabriano to victory. Luiss defends well and finds important baskets with Pasqualin, Fallucca and Legnini, but pays for an inaccuracy in free throws 14 out of 23 and too many rebounds granted to Fabriano. With three minutes to go, Luiss takes up 4, but Fabriano’s reaction with Centanni and Papa brings the game back to a draw and the frantic final smiles at the Marches, despite a three-point shot from Falluca that seemed to have reopened the game. Now on 1 to 1 we go to Fabriano for race 3 on Friday 2 June and race 4 on Sunday 4 June with a possible good one on Wednesday 7 June. For Luiss it is a challenge not to be missed in a series that is expected to be very balanced.
